From April 14, 2026, BALM will reopen its doors for the funding program "Environmental Protection and Safety" (still known to many as De-minimis). In this checklist, we'll show you exactly how to get up to 80% of the costs back.

🛑 The golden rule: Click first, then buy!

Before we get to the checklist, the most important advice upfront: Do not order anything before you have submitted the application. Anyone who buys the goods before the application has been received by the office loses all entitlement to funding. BALM shows no mercy here.

📋 Your 5-step checklist for the grant

1. Create a wish list (March/April 2026)

Browse our shop and put together your package. Whether it's the legendary Siberia series from Strands for the front or indirect lighting from Special Interior for the rear wall – calculate your net costs.

2. The deadline: April 14, 2026 (09:00 AM)

Mark this date boldly in your calendar! The online portal of the BALM (Federal Office for Logistics and Mobility) will be open for new applications. Since funding is limited ("First come, first served"), you should submit your application as early as possible.

3. Submit application online

Log in to the BALM service portal and select the program "Environmental Protection and Safety (US)".

• Safety category: Here you specify your Strands headlights.

• Ergonomics category: Here, the interior light from Special Interior fits perfectly.

4. Await confirmation

As soon as you have submitted the application, you will receive an acknowledgment of receipt. From this moment on, you are theoretically allowed to "start the measure" – i.e., place an order with us.

5. Order & secure cash-back

Now it's your turn! Order your parts from our shop. Make sure that the invoice is issued exactly to the company that submitted the application. After receiving the goods, you submit the invoice as proof of use to BALM and the money will be reimbursed to you.
